Intentional camera movement fine art photography from the beautiful and inspiring Maine Acadia National Park. The ICM abstraction was captured hand-held along Jesup Path near the Great Meadow and the Wild Gardens of Acadia.

I am always interested in capturing the day to day in an unusual different way. One technique that I frequently use is intentional camera movement. The right combination of shutter speed, aperture setting and ISO setting will produce the desired blur and an artistic abstract scenery. A long enough shutter speed combined with a smooth move of camera are key ingredients allowing the camera to paint the photographic object in its most abstract forms.

In this abstract artwork from the scenic Acadia National Park near the Wild Gardens of Acadia I moved the camera vertically during the exposure resulting in this vibrant summer abstract tree painting.
