Lunar-Eclipse-Full-Worm-Moon-Astro-Photography-Images-1.tif
A penumbral lunar eclipse was visible in the New England shies this morning, At 3:12 am the eclipse was the greatest and over 90% of the moon was inside the Earth’s penumbral shadow. Unfortunately, the penumbral shadow is not the dark shadow of the Earth, and rather the lighter part of the shadow. A penumbral lunar eclipse is less dramatic than a total lunar eclipse and the moon was therefore looking pretty much the same as it always does, just a bit dimmer, and one might think the eclipse is not happening. I enjoyed odd and light shading on the moon’s face and was happy to be out there for some early wee hour astro photography.
Penumbral Lunar Eclipse photography images are available as museum quality photography prints, canvas prints, acrylic prints, wood prints or metal prints. Fine art prints may be framed and matted to the individual liking and interior design decorating needs.
Good light and happy photo making!
My best,
Juergen
